Al Killen-Harvey is co-founder of The Harvey Institute. He has worked at the Chadwick Center at Rady Children’s Hospital for over 28 year as a practicing trauma treatment therapist, Clinical Improvement Coordinator, Reflective Supervisor and trainer. He is the co-founder of The Harvey Institute, with a mission of improving health care outcomes through the integration of sexual health. Their work received the 2022 “William Friedrich Lectures Series” Award given by the Mayo Clinic. Al serves on the Advisory Boards of the Children’s Advocacy Centers of California and is co-chair of the Sexual Health subcommittee for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. He is also a recipient of the Community Collaborators Award given by the San Diego LGBT Center.
